Following the controversial speech in which Jack Ma severely criticised China’s regulators and state-owned banks, speculations are rife that the flamboyant co-founder of Alibaba and Ant Group is missing.
The 56-year-old business magnate has not made any public appearance since November. In fact, he did not appear in the final episode of his own talent show, Africa’s Business Heroes.

It is being speculated that Jack Ma’s wrangle with the Chinese authoritarian regime has led to a crackdown on his business in the country and his disappearance from public space. He has also been ordered not to leave the country, suggest media reports.
Jack Ma is ’embracing supervision’, The Asia Times quoted Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece People’s Daily as saying.
