Joe Biden addresses the caregiver problem

President Joe Biden, in a tweet on Saturday, talked about the nation’s caregivers.

In a sit down with Susie from Texas, the President discussed how the American Jobs Plan will help caregivers like her.

When the pandemic hit, Susie faced cuts in her hours and pay. As caregiving cannot be done remotely, yet requires dedication 24/7. Despite the warmth that caregivers provide, the position is undervalued in terms of pay, medical coverage and sick leave.

Biden, in his address, reassured her that she and other caregivers like her would get the wages and benefits that she deserves.
