Joe Biden tweets “the guilty verdict does not bring back George Floyd”
President Joe Biden tweets on Wednesday stating the Derek Chauvin conviction a “step forward on the march towards justice in America”.
In his tweet, he expressed his sympathy towards the family and acknowledge that the verdict could not bring him back, he further added by saying that the family’s pain would allow his legacy to be more than just about his death and would honour his memory.
Biden has been in contact with the family, giving them support and praying for them in these times of need.
The guilty verdict does not bring back George Floyd. But through the family’s pain, they are finding purpose so George’s legacy will not be just about his death, but about what we must do in his memory. pic.twitter.com/swjH0yprjN
