Recently, many Korean artists have taken their own lives.
In 2019, stars Cha In Ha, Sulli, and Goo Hara, committed suicide. The death of these artists led to a lot of concern among the industry insiders.
According to The New York Times, Sulli and Goo Hara talked about being victims of cyberbullying in the weeks before their deaths.
After that, the K-pop industry has made sure to help those artists who are struggling with their mental health.
In December 2019, Kang Daniel took a break from performing. His agency explained that this was due to “extreme anxiety” and depression.
