While there’s no dearth of arguments rejecting Reality Shows as a sham…there’s no dearth of viewers who flock in the number of millions to watch these shows. People consciously choose to watch them for they like seeing others from a background similar to theirs, rise above the ranks to attain success and fame, or sometimes just want to see for themselves what being a part of a certain class entails.

While America has a plethora of reality shows that have a huge loyal fan base, we bring to you a list of top 7 shows that can easily be touted the best and the most popular. Here you go:

1. The Bachelor 

An immensely popular American dating and relationship reality television series, The Bachelor had debuted on March 25, 2002, on ABC. Since then it has had a humongous run of 25 seasons, all being hosted by Chris Harrison. It was only for the finale that Emmanuel Acho was roped in as the host.

Its finale premiered on March 15 and called “After the Final Rose” it saw Rachael Kirkconnell win the show and the heart of the bachelor for this season, Matt James.

2. Keeping Up With The Kardashians 

Who doesn’t know about this one? Love it or hate it, you know it’s a phenomenon!

Often abbreviated KUWTK, it is an American reality television series that airs on the E! cable network focusing on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian–Jenner blended family. Ever since it debuted on October 14, 2007, it has become one of the longest-running reality television series in the US.

The series focuses mainly on sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé and their half-sisters Kendall and Kylie. It also features their parents Kris and Caitlyn, and brother Rob, along with their significant others.

It’s most recent and alas the final season, season 20 started March 18 and fans are excited to see what they have to offer before exiting, given the Kimye split being one of the major highlights of the industry in recent times.

3. Project Runaway 

A series that focuses on fashion design, here the contestants have to compete with each other to create the best clothes and are restricted by time, materials, and theme. These finalists prepare complete fashion collections for New York Fashion Week and after the runway shows, the judges choose the winner. It was created by Eli Holzman and was hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum from 2004 to 2017.

The upcoming Season 19 will likely see the show host Karlie Kloss become a mentor with the same set of judges and the completion remaining tough as ever.

4. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills 

Developed as the sixth installment of The Real Housewives franchise, it has aired ten seasons and focuses on the personal and professional lives of several women residing in Beverly Hills, California.

Season 11 is still filming and while fans of the hit franchise are eager to see what the ladies are up to since the show ended last year with the exit of Denise Richards, Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, and Lisa Rinna will return for the new season and are teasing their fashion looks. We also know that Kathy Hilton will be joining Season 11.

5. Laguna Beach 

The series aired for three seasons from September 2004 to November 2006 and was primarily focused on the personal lives of several students attending Laguna Beach High School. The show has produced several spin-offs like the famous The Hills. 

6. Shark Tank 

It shows entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of five investors or “sharks,” who decide whether to invest in their company. It has also won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Structured Reality Program four times!

A business reality show among the clamor of glamour in this list, its Season 12 just premiered late last year and already on a mid-series break, fans are waiting to hear from the show makers about its return!

7. The Bachelorette

A spin-off of The Bachelor and the staple part of The Bachelor franchise, its season for 2021 will see Katie Thurston and also Michelle Young as the bachelorettes. However, they won’t be competing to be the lead or for the men’s attention, instead, they will roll out two seasons, one in the spring and one in the fall.
