Mark Wahlberg pays tribute to his late mother; Shares a throwback picture of her surrounded by grand kids

Mark Wahlberg pays tribute to his late mother, Ama Wahlberg, through his Instagram account. He posted a photo of his mother two days ago, announcing her sad demise. Now, the 49-year-old star has posted a sweet throwback picture of Ama. His mother is seen sitting on a couch surrounded by her four adorable grandchildren. They are Brendan, 12, Ella, 17, Grace, 11, and Michael, 15. Mark and his wife, Rhea Durham, are also a part of this picture.

He penned on behalf of the kids, “Miss you grandma” and a red heart emoticon. Mark announced his mother’s death via a tweet on April 18.

The Transformers alum posted a pretty photo of his mom with a huge smile on her face, captioning it, “My angel. Rest in peace.”

Ama’s other child, Donnie Wahlberg, also paid tribute to his mother online. Donnie, 51, wrote a lengthy tribute on Instagram accompanied by a slideshow of photos and videos.

“I’m so blessed to have been brought into this world by, raised by, taught by and set on my life’s path by, such an amazing woman,” he wrote, in part. “My mom Alma’s joy for life, love and people — combined with a pride in her humble beginnings and refusal to forget where she came from — undoubtedly shaped me into the man that I am. She was, without a doubt, the most loving human being I’ve ever known.”
