Marvel Studio releases action-filled trailer for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”
Good news for Marvel fans! There’s a surprise in store for them!
The surprise is the first action-filled trailer for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”
In tribute to the ‘Shang-Chi’ starlet Simu Liu’s 32nd birthday, Marvel Studios released the first look into the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film stars its first leading Asian superhero.
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. It narrates the story of a martial artist who is trained since childhood. He is trained by the Ten Rings terror organization to be an assassin.
The teaser showcases Shang-Chi (Liu), a valet attendant who is trying to live a normal life in San Francisco. But, soon realizes he can’t get away from his true identity as an assassin. So he must confront the past he thought has left behind.
“I gave you 10 years to live your life, and where did that get you?” Shang-Chi’s father and leader of the infamous Ten Rings, Wenwu (Tony Leung), asks at the beginning of the trailer.
“You walked in my shadow. I trained you, so the most dangerous people in the world couldn’t kill you. Son, it’s time for you to take your place by my side,” Shang-Chi’s father says.
The other cast includes Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.
Liu even took to his Twitter account to share his elation and enthusiasm. “Whoever said that you could only RECEIVE presents on your birthday? Today, I’m giving you your VERY FIRST LOOK at the teaser poster for @ShangChi and the Legend of the Ten Rings!!” he wrote Monday.
