Since 1949 US has been observing the month of May as mental health month. This year too, we plan to spread the word and extent our shoulders to everyone who needs the help. Common people always look forward to not so common people in their lives and in this particular topic too to talk about mental health lets look at some of our celebrities. Adore, fantasize or drool over, celebrities are one of those people whose personal problems find caged because of the millions of eyes they are always subjected to.
Recently actress Billie Lourd, daughter of “Star Wars” actress Carrie Fisher (who was always loud about her mental health), on her Instagram said: “‘If my life weren’t funny then it would just be true and that is unacceptable.’ Finding the funny might take a while but I learned from the best and her voice will forever be in my head and in my heart.”
Yesterday, on April 30th 2021, Albion Rovers striker David Cox announced his retirement from soccer with reference to the incident on the day, where he was verbally abused by a player from the opposition team. And his team has come forward to support their colleague.

The 32-year-old David Cox of Albion Rovers was on the bench for the Scottish League 2 game against Stenhousemuir, when the incident had taken place. He left the stadium at half-time. He later said to the public that the player had taunted about his mental health issues and suicide attempts. Even though the talk does always go off a bit on the ground, the allegation has been taken up for investigation.
Putting out private struggles in public places can never go casually. We ought to learn to speak up for ourselves, ask for help and at the same time value others struggles.

3. Lady Gaga
“I told the kids today, ‘I suffer from PTSD.’ I’ve never told anyone that before. So here we are,” Gaga told Today after visiting with homeless LGBTQ teens in New York City. “But the kindness that’s shown to me by doctors as well as my family, and my friends, it’s really saved my life. My own trauma in my life has helped me to understand the trauma of others,” added the pop singer.

“It gives you another perspective when you are so lost in your own spiral,” he said to The Observer. His fathers demise and his struggle to cope with it through medication he shared. “It helps,” he said.
5. Prince Harry
“I can safely say that losing my mom at the age of 12 and therefore shutting down all of my emotions for the last 20 years has had quite a serious effect on not only my personal life, but also my work as well,” said Prince Harry about how he coped with Princess Diana’s passing away on an interview with The Telegraph. “Invictus would have never gotten off the ground if I hadn’t dealt with all that stuff beforehand, ” he added.

When it comes to mental health, people are still repelling to accept it just like any ordinary health issue. But the trend is changing. If you open your eye and also listen really hard for it you can hear that these are not things to be given much of our life’s time.
