Microsoft starts automatically updating Windows 10 2004 to Windows 10 21H
Microsoft has started its May 2021 feature update by training its machine learning algorithms to automatically update Windows 10 2004 devices, to the recently released Windows 10 21H1.
In 2019, Microsoft announced in 2019 that they would be increasing their investments in machine learning (ML) technologies to help with the complexity of the aspects they need to assess, adding that ML would help them detect potential problems more quickly and also that they were using machine learning to improve the reliability of the Windows Update experience.
Since the launch of Windows 10, this is the first time that Microsoft has published two service packs in a row even though Windows 10 21H1 is one of the “less exciting” updates since it’s aimed at improving stability and fixing bugs, without offering any new interesting features.
The update may not be available to all users since Microsoft shared that it would be limiting its publication however some users can find this new version available through an optional update displayed when manually searched for available updates in Windows Update.
