Microsoft unveils Windows 11 in a live stream
Microsoft unveiled Windows 11 today in a live stream. There’s a lot more than rounded corners, a centred Start menu featuring applications and new wallpapers. Here are its updates:
Adjustable app size
For users of surface touchscreen PCs, app size adjustment is extremely helpful. If you are working with a stylus, the virtual keyboard is being redesigned.
Snap Layouts and teams app
Snap Layouts will be included in order to make it easy to move the application window to a pre-set configuration. Also, the popular Teams app will be already included.
App Store
Microsoft even revamped an app store for its users to provide a safe way to get your apps on Windows. Apps can be in the store without Microsoft taking a share of the revenue from sales of applications. Windows 11 will support Android apps through Amazon’s app store and the apps you already use on phones will be available even on the desktop.
Windows widget
Windows Widgets contains news, weather, and other information It uses artificial intelligence to offer personalized content, and it can be shown on the entirety of the screen with a swipe from left to right.
Gaming
For the gamers, it includes direct storage for quick downloads using drives. Also, the company’s game subscription gives access to different titles for a monthly fee, especially Microsoft-owned titles. It even includes the Auto HDR feature which only Xbox Console earlier had.
Today marks the beginning of a new generation of Windows. With Windows 11, we’re reimagining everything from the operating system to the store, to unlock new opportunity for people and the world. https://t.co/IuMxrS262d
