Midwin Charles, CNN and MSNBC legal analyst passes away at 47

Midwin Charles, 47-year-old legal analyst of CNN and MSNBC has died, her family announced on Tuesday.

Her family said in a statement on Twitter that their lives are forever changed and will be missed for a lifetime. They said though she was known as a legal commentator on television to many, to them she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin.

The cause of her demise has not been disclosed publicly.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid and other colleagues paid homage to Charles on Twitter after her death was disclosed.

Reid tweeted, “Midwin dear heart, you were a brilliant spirit and beautiful soul. You were such a blessing. I’m just stunned and have been since I learned of this today. Blessings to your mom and family. To all, please live every moment like it’s your last, and OVER-appreciate your friends.”
