#1 Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

After allegations of Kanye cheating on Kim with Irina Shayk and social media controversies regarding Kim and their daughter North, the couple finally filed for divorce on February 19, 2021, after being married for almost seven long years, since May 2014.

The two are currently co-parenting their four kids together namely, North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm.

#2 La La Anthony and Carmelo Anthony

The actress and NBA player filed for divorce on June 17, 2021, after being married since July 2010, and engaged in 2004.

According to ‘Us’, “They have been separated for a while now and will remain friends. They both want to make sure that the divorce goes as smoothly as possible for their son”.

#3 Liam Payne and Maya Henry

Former ‘One Direction’ band member got engaged to Henry in August 2020, only to end up splitting a year after, in June 2021.

During a podcast with ‘The Diary of a CEO’, the singer revealed, “I feel like more than anything at this point, I’m more disappointed in myself that I keep on hurting people. That annoys me. I’ve just not been very good at relationships.”

#4 Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz

Well, it seems like our funny ‘Chandler Bing’ from the iconic ‘Friends’ doesn’t do too well when it comes to dating and relationships, as the actor’s romance with his beau lasted for a very short while.

Matthew parted ways with his talent manager girlfriend Molly, on June 2, 2021, only half a month post his proposal.

After a long long marriage since 1994, the duo decided to go on separate ways, on May 3, 2021, announcing their split via Twitter, that read, “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. ‘Baywatch’ fame and model girlfriend got their news of separation made public, via the actor’s friend, Kyle Sandilands, who announced on her show ‘Kyle and Jackie O Show’, “It’s only recent, but not, like, yesterday recent. But they’ve gone their separate ways. No drama, but it’s done.”

#7 Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez

The ‘Ain’t Your Mama’ singer and baseball player husband announced their separation on April 15, 2021, calling themselves to be “better as friends.”

In conversation with ‘Today’, the duo revealed, “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

Taking to Instagram on March 6, 2021, the ‘Love Island’ fame couple announced their breakup, writing, “Some of you have been wondering about us and our relationship, so we want to help you to understand where we are right now. One of us is in Pittsburgh and the other is in Tucson, and neither one of us will be able to move anytime in the near future.”

Premiered today, Thursday, May 27, on HBO Max, our special ‘Friends:The Reunion’, is receiving lots of appreciation and affection as fans tune in, to witness their favourite cast talk about the show while giving the audience few glimpses from behind-the-scenes.

#1 When the stage seemed smaller

The opening scene, when David walks in the Warner Bros studios to have a nostalgia while visiting the renovated sets, comprised of the apartments and Central Perk’s coffee house.

After a while, he is joined by the rest of the cast, who all get nostalgic and emotional as Matt astonishes over how everything appeared smaller to him.

He says, “It all seems small to me, the whole stage”, to which Jennifer replies, “That’s impossible though, because we haven’t grown”.

#2 A clueless cast

While we already know about Matthew’s struggle with his addiction and why he doesn’t have memories of having filmed certain episodes, we definitely had no clue that he isn’t only the one as such.

When Jennifer comes up with the episode ‘The One With The Ball’ from the fifth season, David confesses of not remembering about it much. He is later joined by Lisa, who admits of never having seen some episodes.

Matt and Courteney have never missed an episode, they say!

#3 Hilarious BTS

If you’ve been thinking that you have been a part of almost everything related to the show, after watching tons of bloopers and behind-the-scenes, then you are wrong.

Today’s episode unleashed few hilarious BTS scenes that you have never witnessed before.

One such scene, shows Monica with Chandler in bed, revealing an unscripted dirty joke that we can’t really tell here.

Another one is, when Matthew dances funnily, while he forgets his line as he is mimicked by Matt and David in the background.

#4 Friends are joined by guest cast 

The show takes an interesting turn with James Corden.

Upon being asked about which person among them, has the most distinctive and the loudest laugh, the cast altogether look at no other but Lisa.

They are soon surprised by Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice, saying, “Oh. My God! I can’t believe you didn’t say me!” as she joins the conversation.

Our very own ‘Gunther’ played by James Tyler joins virtually to share his experience of the show. He says, “It was the most memorable 10 years of my life. I could not have imagined a better experience.”

#5 When Perry was an audience pleaser

Matthew gets sentimental, as he shares about the phase of his life, wasted in being a people pleaser, that ruined much of his career.

He shared, “I felt like I was going to die if they didn’t laugh, and it’s not healthy, for sure. But I would sometimes say a line and they wouldn’t laugh and I would sweat, and go into convulsions. If I didn’t get the laugh I was supposed to get, I would freak out. I felt like that every single night.”

The entire show was an iconic one today and we can’t emphasize enough on these moments, that melted our hearts and gave us some hearty laughs, all at the same time.

We all know him as our very famous Chandler Bing from the NBC’s American television sitcom ‘FRIENDS’, from 1994 to 2004, which made him rise to immense popularity and recognition worldwide. 

Making him one of the finest actors of the 1990s, ‘FRIENDS’ is one of the most cherished series till today.

Matthew, 51, had opened up on his struggle with substance abuse when he was at the peak of success, sharing that it had impacted him to such extent, that he was left with no memory of having filmed some of the sitcom’s episodes.

Years of hard work and struggling at the rehabilitation centre helped him jump back on track and continue with small screen roles.

Recently, HBO announced the much awaited and hyped ‘FRIENDS’ reunion which will witness Matthew come together with his costars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc, to celebrate the success of their show.

Struggling actor

Matthew was raised in Canada by his mother and later shifted to Los Angeles with his father to begin his journey as an actor.

During his initial acting days, Perry had made several iconic appearances in some of the most infamous shows like ‘The Tracey Ullman Show’, ‘Growing Pains’ and ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.’

Some of his movies alongside top actresses include, ‘Deadly Relations’ with Gwyneth Paltrow, ‘Dance Til Dawn’ with Christina Applegate and ‘The Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon’ with River Phoenix.

1. Chandler Bing in FRIENDS

After years of struggling with minor roles in television, Matthew was graced with fortune when he was signed for ‘Friends’.

The NBC’S American sitcom gave us our Chandler Bing, the sarcastic and humorous character played by Matthew, from 1994 to 2004, putting an Emmy nomination up his sleeve.

Just like all his costars, Matthew too rose to popularity overnight, making him a sensation who would be able to land himself enough roles in the future.

2. Substance abuse

It is no more a secret that with fame comes a heavy price to pay, and thats what exactly happened with Matthew too.

When he was at the peak of his career, Matthew got addicted to alcohol and has even shared about his addiction phase to ‘Today’ in 2013.

He became addicted to alcohol and a substance called Vicodin, which impacted him brutally, wiping off some of his memories, that he couldn’t even remember having filmed certain scenes of ‘Friends’ and had a lonely time then.

After being put on pills, Matthew was sent to a rehab where he could unfortunately only stay for some time, after which his parents came to his rescue in 2001, admitting him to another rehabilitation after he feared of killing himself.

3. Back on track

After months and years of struggle, Matthew finally bounced back on track to begin with a fresh canvas that he could paint with new memories and achievements. This came only after his addiction phase and crashing his car into an empty residence, for which he had been hospitalized too.

4. Reaching new heights

With a few more television duties, Matthew garnered his second Emmy nomination for his guest appearance on ‘The West Wing’ in 2003 followed by a couple of nominations for an Emmy and a Golden Globe, for ‘The Ron Clark Story’ revolving around a small town teacher and his rough journey.

Matthew reunited with his ‘Friends’ costars Courteney and Lisa while appearing in shows like ‘Cougar Town’ and ‘Web Therapy’.

Matthew Perry is currently geared up for his upcoming Netflix venture, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence to name a few.
