Offer made to Hannah Jones suspiciously revoked
Immensely applauded for her work on the ‘History of Slavery’ in the US, Hannah Jones was recently offered the position of Knight Chair in Race and Investigative Journalism at the University of North Carolina. It is to be noted that she has been honored with Pulitzer Prize for her piece on ‘The 1619 Project’ published by The New York Times Magazine.
The offer was taken back by UNCCH and replaced with a five-year term that allows her to work as a professor and states that her performance will be reviewed by the end of this period.
