Oscar nominee shrugged off 2021
In the wake of the pandemic, delayed academy awards are all set to burn the stage with magic performances and surprising winner’s astonishing audiences.
The 93rd Oscar event faced the pandemic crisis due to movie delays, theater closures, and even a lack of awareness about films in contention, which charged repercussions while nominating films, leaving major stars off the final Oscar ballot.
The roles ranging from Jodie Foster in “The Mauritanian” to 8-year-old Alan Kim in “Minari” and filmmakers such as Regina King and Spike Lee were shrug offed while nominating, adding many more to the list.
Here are the Oscar nomination snubs:
“One Night in Miami:

Regina King, 50, acquired praises for her feature directing debut, “One Night in Miami,” including a Golden Globe best director nomination. Unfortunately, Oscar did not pay heed to the best performance, and King was not nominated into the top five best director nomination spots, for helming the period drama which did not receive the best picture nomination either. Leslie Odom Jr. received a best supporting actor nomination.
Ma Riney’s Block Bottom

The theatrical origins omitted the overwhelming adaption of August Wilson’s play earning five nominations, including the expected nods for leads Chadwick Boseman and Viola Davis.
Jodie Foster

The pajama-wearing Foster, 58, grabbed a stake winning best-supporting actress for her role as crusading lawyer Nancy Hollander in “The Mauritanian.” The two-time Oscar-winner did not earn a spot on the final Oscar list.
Zendaya

Zendaya, 24, had a 2020 awards breakout with an Emmy win for her standout role as Rue in Sam Levinson’s HBO series “Euphoria.” Zendaya emerged as the awards front-runner but fell short of the best actress nomination.
Alan Kim

Kim has emerged as an 8-year-old awards season darling following his critically praised “Minari” screen debut as David, the Korean-American child with a heart condition growing up in rural Arkansas. The young actor missed out on a supporting actor nomination.
