Cinemas around the country have started showing the first new movie since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered theatres: Solstice Studios’ “Unhinged”.
Movie theatres in several parts of the country which were able to safely reopen welcomed the first major theatrical premiere, starring Russell Crowe, Gabriel Bateman, Caren Pistorius, Jimmi Simpson and Austin P. McKenzie.
The movie grossed nearly $4 million in the US and Canada from Friday through Sunday.
The movie played in over 1,800 venues in North America, marking the widest release yet since the deadly contagion hit.
