Second largest cryptocurrency Ether at new record high
The world’s second-largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin, Ether, saw a record high surge of $3,591.65 on the Bitstamp Exchange on Thursday. As of last recorded, Ether was up by about 3.0% at $3,568.92.
Bitcoin dipped by 0.7% at $57,109.40 and around 12% below its record intraday high at $64,895.22 set on April 14.
Earlier on Tuesday, Cryptocurrency Ether saw a fresh record peak ahead of declining sharply as some investors gained profits from a white-hot market over-flowing with questionable fresh entrants.
This year, the value of Ether has more than doubled as compared to Bitcoin. Also, early on Tuesday, it saw a more than two-and-a-half-year high.
However, on Tuesday, Bitcoin, which is up 90% this year, went down to $55,625 whereas, the U.S. dollar stood slightly elsewhere.
The Ether has grown considerably in value in the past couple of days. Whereas, Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of more than $1 trillion, regained the $50,000 mark last week.
