Secretary Psaki stands by a rule that treats reporters like ‘coddled Capitol Hill pages’

The ‘Quote Approval’ rules sanctioned by the White House states that their Communications Team will check everything quoted (from an individual from the administration) by media houses and only after they have passed inspection will they be allowed to be published.

The reporters claim that President Biden’s Communications team is misusing their power and adding to the increasing frustration caused to the reporters covering Biden Administration. All their grievances are listed in the Politico Report published on Tuesday.

White House press Secretary has been passionately in support of the Rule and has given her statement- “If outlets are not comfortable with that attribution for those officials they of course don’t need to utilise those voices.”
