Barack Obama took on to Twitter on Monday to share about the developments related to programs sending civilian responders instead of police to help people facing mental health crises. 

The former U.S. president tweeted saying, “More places are experimenting with programs that send civilian responders instead of police to help people experiencing mental health crises. It’s a promising development in law enforcement in the wake of this summer’s protests.”

His tweet included an article from USA Today, Did George Floyd, Daniel Prude change 911 mental health call response? 

His tweet also included a link to the MBK Alliance, sharing more information about other developments from communities working to reimage policing.
