Stand-up comedian Janeane Garofalo to be a recurring celebrity guest in Younger

American stand-up comedian Janeane Garofalo is will be the celebrity guest featuring in the series Younger.  She will make an appearance in the seventh and final season of Darren Star’s hit comedy series. It will premiere on Paramount+ April 15.

The actress first makes her presence in episode five and appears in six episodes. She plays the role of Cass DeKennessy, Dean of The Arts College of New York.

Cass always dreamt of becoming an artist, whereas he ended up in academia and married to a much younger wife. When Cass offers Maggie a teaching job at her school, her quiet life turns into a roller coaster ride.

The first four episodes of Younger’s seventh season can be streamed at the premiere, while the remaining eight episodes will drop every Thursday. The full season will air on its original home, ViacomCBS’ TV Land, later this year.

Darren Star served as Younger’s creator, writer, and executive producer with Tony Hernandez of JAX Media also executive producing. Dottie Zicklin, Eric Zicklin and Alison Brown were on board as executive producers and writers on the series.

ViacomCBS MTV Entertainment Studios’ Keith Cox and Antonia Covault are the executives in charge of production. The series is produced by Darren Star Productions, JAX Media and MTV Entertainment Studios.

Garofalo was recently spotted in ABC’s Stumptown, Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later and Comedy Central’s Broad City.
