Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a forthcoming American television series produced by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford for Disney+. It is a part of the Star Wars universe, taking place after the events of Return of the Jedi in the same time period as The Mandalorian and its related spin-offs (1983). Skeleton Crew is a coming-of-age story.
By early 2022, Watts and Ford were working on a series that would relate a coming-of-age tale in the Star Wars world in the vein of Amblin Studios. Jude Law will play the lead role, it was formally announced during Star Wars Celebration in May. In Los Angeles, filming had commenced in September 2022 and was completed by the end of January 2023. In April of 2023, the series’ young actors were made public.
