Supreme Courts stands strong on $2 billion compensation to plaintiffs for Johnson & Johnson case

The plaintiffs in this case against the world renowned Johnson & Johnson are 22 women who are suffering from ovarian cancer owing to the usage of their talc that contains asbestos which is the cause of the cancer. These women have come together from 12 states. Nine women have died due to ovarian cancer.

The verdict said that the company has to compensate these women with the amount of $2 billion.

The company later appealed to the court after disputing the claims of these women but the court stays adamant that the amount will stay the same and the verdict in favour of the plaintiffs.
