Dana Elaine Owens popularly known as Queen Latifah is a 51-year-old professional singer, songwriter, rapper actress, and producer. She was a member of an all-female rap group of ladies in high school while she was studying communications. Queen Latifah’s dedication to work is quite transparent and her love for the art of rapping can clearly be seen. Therefore, to achieve the stars she prepared a demo reel which immediately caught the attention of Tommy Boy Records, who signed the then 18-year-old rising superstar. She released her first single “Wrath of My Madness” In the year 1988, which eventually followed her debut album “All Hail the Queen.” This was the beginning of her career and the rest is history.
She is an early black people activist and has always focused her songs on the direction of equal black rights. She entered the field of men-dominated area and succeeded with flying colors, she decided to do something that breaks all the barriers of the stereotypes that have been put by society. Later she proved her dominance by winning a Grammy Award For best rap solo in 1994 for U.N.I.T.Y.

She even starred alongside Will Smith in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where she blessed the show with her guest appearance for two episodes.

She even hosted her own talk show, Queen Latifah show which first ran from 1999 to 2001 and then again from 2013 to 2015.

Queen Latifah’s one of major breakthroughs in acting was when she was cast as Mama Morton in the 2002 musical film Chicago. her acting was so amazing that the role earned the star her own Oscar nomination for best actress in a supporting role. She acted alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, and Renee Zellweger.

She has hosted Saturday Night Live several times once in 2003 as a host and then again as a musical guest in 2004.

She even earned her star on the Hollywood Walk of fame in 2006. which we believe she deserved without a question.
