This is how the pandemic impacts the fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale
The last time when people saw The Handmaid’s Tale was 2019, and then everything just stopped after that, not only for the show or the industry but for the whole world. Soon, following the COVID norms, shooting was done and now the new season of The Handmaid’s Tale has dropped and it looks very exciting. According to the show runner Miller, his long term views on the show changed while shooting in the pandemic which hints at the fact that there’s something more to the series
The show runner said that “When I said that I’ll do the show as long as Lizzy (Elisabeth) wants to do it that is born of the pandemic and born of the work she’s done this year” acknowledging her lead actress who also went behind the cameras to direct some of the episodes he said, “She deserves to have me there writing for her as long as she wants. She earned that this year. I will write beautiful words for her to say for as long as she wants to say them.”
The handmaids tale has also been renewed for the fifth season.
The Emmy-winning show’s fourth season starts from where the story was left in the third season as seen in the trailer June survives the cliff hanger episode.
