This Is Us season 5 will now end on episode 16; Here’s why

This time the Pearsons will stay for less long with you! ‘This is Us’ season 5 which usually consists of 18 episodes like all the previous seasons will now end on episode 16.

In a promo video that streamed at the end of Tuesday’s episode of NBC’s hit family drama, two things were disclosed. Firstly, that the show would return to go on-air on May 11 and secondly there are only three episodes left in the season.

Since Tuesday’s episode was the 13th and the promo said three are left which means only 16 episodes this time. The reason for the reduction in episodes is just the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘This Is Us’ has had to roll with the punches of an unpredictable schedule this season. The same happened with many other shows, the spread of COVID-19 has delayed production multiple times, resulting in a late start for season 5, and only four episodes airing in the fall.

The finale episode will go on air on May 25  and will be seen at a different time, 10 PM, since ‘The Voice’ will be airing that night.
