Thomas Markle expresses disappointment after watching Harry-Meghan interview

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s sit-down with Oprah Winfrey has received a mixed response from two polarized sides. While their friends and some others have voiced out their support, there’s also a growing amount of people who do not approve of their statements. The latest to criticize them is Markle’s father, Thomas Markle himself.

He admitted that he was “very disappointed” by the interview.

“I’ve apologized for this thing, what happened, at least a hundred times, or so,” he said, referencing his collaboration with tabloids.

Expressing views that completely contract Meghan’s claims, her father expressed his desire to go to the press. He said, “The bottom line is I’ve never heard back from Meghan or Harry in any way shape, or form.” He continued, “When they say that I’m… taking advantage of the press, well, basically what I do, because I haven’t heard from them, is I’ll do a story for the press,” he admitted. “If I don’t hear from them in 30 days, then I’ll do another story for the press.”

Thomas revealed that he has “yet to hear from [Meghan and Prince Harry].” But also that he “would love to hear from them.”

Another segment from the interview featured Thomas expressing “great respect for the royals,” and insisting, “I don’t think the British Royal Family are racist,” apropos to an alleged conversation Prince Harry had with an unnamed member of the Royal Family about Prince Harry and Meghan’s son, Archie’s skin color.

Meghan said in the interview that she felt “betrayed” by her father’s decisions to go to the press in the past and now he has taken to the press again, to contest her claims.
