United Airlines intends to continue activities of grounded 777 planes
On Tuesday United Airlines Holdings Inc (UAL.O) said it plans to resume operations of its grounded Boeing 777- 200 planes with Pratt & Whitney engines at some points in the future.
Joined’s 52 777 planes with the PW4000 motors were grounded in February after a motor disappointment on a United trip to Honolulu from Denver. The Federal Aviation Administration requested prompt examinations of those planes before additional flights. Joined said there had been progress. “We anticipate getting that airplane back to safe tasks later on,” United Chief activities official Jon Roitman said.
