Vanessa Hudgens condemns Atlanta shooting that claimed 8 Asian American lives
Asian Americans have been facing increasing verbal abuse and harassment in Georgia like many other parts of the country for months now

Actress Vanessa Hudgens took to Instagram to post on her story, a tweet by Jamaal Bowman, a politician, and educator, condemning not only the recent shootings in Atlanta that claimed 8 Asian American lives but also the pervasive racism and hostility in the society, rallying for a change.
Bowman’s words echoed the matter in a much-required succinct yet impactful manner. No wonder Hudgens chose to voice her concerns.

Here’s Bowman’s tweet for you as well:
Anti-Asian hate crimes are up 150% since January of last year — the result of years of vitriolic racism.
Eight people were killed last night. Humans with stories and aspirations. Our hearts go out to their loved ones.
We need to put an end to the hate.

It is inexcusable that harmless people should have to lose their lives due to prejudice and xenophobic tendencies. It is about time more and more of us speak up and rally support for a healthy society and better world!
