Vice President providing same counsel to me as I once did to Mr Obama: Joe Biden

While it is clear to everyone what a president does and what his role in the country’s economy is but the fact that many people don’t exactly follow the role and duties of the Vice- President. “the role of the VP was just to be that heartbeat away from the President,” said Barbara Perry, the director of presidential studies at the University of Virginia’s Miller Centre. Unless the president got seriously ill or died, their job was to mainly sit around and wait.

That may have been the case for others but clearly not for Mrs. Harris, current U.S. vice president.

Back when Biden served as a VP under the former president, Barack Obama, he was asked by the president, what he wanted from the role. He wanted to be the last person in the room before he made important decisions.

In a tweet which was retweeted by the Vice President, the president expects Harris’s role after his own time as vice president.

Mr. Biden and Mr. Obama often shared laughs together during their time in The White House, close personal relationship between vice-presidents and presidents haven’t been norm, says Perry.

President had once said that without consulting Kamala Harris he “there has not been a single decision I’ve made yet”. Each of Biden’s potential cabinet nominee were interviewed by her.
