‘Willy Wonka’ trends as Timothee Chalamet is all set to portray him in Warner Bros’ upcoming movie

Timothee Chalamet is an American actor, born on December 27, 1995, in Manhattan, New York, to parents Marc Chalamet and Nicole Flender.

He made his acting debut in 2012, with the tv drama series ‘Homeland’ and went ahead to gain worldwide recognition with Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi movie ‘Interstellar’.

The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ fame has been recently roped in to play the character of Willy Wonka, in an upcoming Warner Bros’ movie, inspired by Roald Dahl’s novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

A prequel to Johnny Depp and Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka movies, this one would also be full of singing and dancing performances.

The character ‘Willy Wonka’ is doing quite a few rounds on Twitter, along with it’s spitting image Chalamet, and it seems like the audience didn’t receive the news too well.

While Timothee fans are rooting for his part in the film, as they excitedly await the release, there are many who have expressed disdain over his casting as Wonka.

They claim Gene Wilder, the original Willy Wonka, to be truly deserving and the one and only, who couldn’t be replaced by any and if did, would eventually lose out on the character’s significance.

We know that Timothee would make for an ideal Willy and won’t disappoint us in proving people wrong and winning their hearts.
