You all must have heard of The Grand Canyon, who hasn’t? However, that is not the only gem hidden in the state of Arizona! It is home to some of the most beautiful locations for outdoor activities, consisting a plethora of deserts, lakes, mountains, slot canyons, saguaro cactus, buttes, waterfalls, and even a volcano with downhill skiing. 1.Grand Canyon

We have to kick-off this list with this, one of America’s most famous attractions, the Grand Canyon is a massive canyon carved over several million years by the Colorado River. The national park is divided into two main areas: the remote North Rim and the more accessible South Rim.
Visitors can also enjoy adventurous activities here such as hiking, mountain biking, rafting, fishing, and helicopter tours. There’s also the experience of walking out on the glass-bottomed floor of the Skywalk for some unforgettable views!
2. Tucson

All you city lovers, how’s this beautiful skyline for you? It is a city set in the Sonoran Desert and surrounded by mountains. Some of the best places to check out are the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park, El Presidio Historic District, and Old Tucson Studios.
3. Havasu Falls

When talking of Arizona, we can’t really stay away from nature’s marvels. This is another such beauty. The blue waters, spreading down the steps make for such a pleasing sight. In the canyon of Havasu Creek, a tributary of the Colorado River, some 450 people of the Havasupai tribe (the “people of the blue-green water”) live a secluded life.
4. Saguaro National Park

Cactus has been the aesthetic essential for quite some time and what could be better than a park of them! Experience the desert landscape around Tucson and see the famous saguaro cactus up close. The park has two sections, an east and a west portion, located on the east and west side of Tucson. Both sections of the park offer great opportunities to see the desert flora and fauna along roads and hiking trails. Hikes can essentially be challenging, starting from easy walks to challenging trails that lead up into the high mountains, reaching up to 8,000 feet in elevation.
5. Antelope Canyon

Another beautiful canyon that makes for thousands of wallpapers and paintings around the globe, you cannot miss this! The majestic, sculpted, twisting sandstone walls rise up around you, with rays of light breaking through from the narrow opening above as you walk through the canyon. You can tour Upper Antelope Canyon or Lower Antelope Canyon, or both, on a guided tour, both promise stunning scenery.
6. Bisbee

Another stunning town with quaint lil streets, you can strut around here interacting with locals or just spend the day shopping! Near the Mexico border, the former mining town is now a haven for artists and hippies. It offers a great mix of wonderful restaurants, shops, and streets.
7. Hoover Dam

America’s greatest engineering marvel can certainly not be missed, right? This massive structure, completed in 1935, crosses the Colorado River, linking Arizona and Nevada. It is 726 feet high and 1,244 feet long. Lake Mead, held back by the Hoover Dam, is the largest artificial lake in the United States. You can have a soothing long drive along this dam.
8. Sedona

You really didn’t think we’d miss Sedona out? Surrounded by stunning red rock mountains and buttes, Sedona has one of the most beautiful settings in Arizona. It is the perfect place for mountain biking and is full of hiking trails! Sedona is considered by many to be a highly spiritual place. In the surrounding area are a number of ancient Native American dwellings, which you can visit on your own or as part of a Jeep tour which is the easiest way to get around Sedona.
