Elon Musk’s Tweet “You can buy a Tesla with Bitcoin” receives mixed opinions
Now you can buy a Tesla with Bitcoin, says Elon Musk. Now it’s an official statement on the ongoing speculation that whether Tesla can become the first car company that accepts Bitcoin or not.
What happened was that recently Elon Musk took to Twitter to share the news that people can buy Tesla cars with Bitcoin. The tweet read, “You can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin.”

After that, another tweet followed saying that Bitcoin won’t be converted to fiat currency but would be retained as a Bitcoin only.
“Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly. Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, not converted to fiat currency.”

Further, Elon Musk informed that countries other than the US can buy Tesla with Bitcoin at the end of this year i.e 2021.
“Pay by Bitcoin capability available outside the US later this year”

Many fans took it supportingly, however, there was a large section of Twitter users who weren’t satisfied with the Tweet. One of the main arguments from them was that Bitcoin isn’t stable enough to be considered as a medium to buy something.
As a user quoted, “This would be relevant if the price of a Tesla car is set on a FIXED Bitcoin amount. If the Bitcoin price to pay for a Tesla is converted at the day’s Bitcoin/fiat rate, then this tweet is irrelevant. They might as well be accepting the pay in potato bags or cocoa beans…”

The coming days would tell how efficient this system comes out to be, as of now, things are pretty uncertain. As they are with Tesla anyhow!
