Sunday afternoon: Huskies to take on Red Storm
The UConn women’s soccer team (6-2-1, 4-2-1 BE) will ride to Queen’s, New York for a match with St. John’s University (5-3-1, 2-3-1 BE). The kickoff is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2 PM at Belson Stadium.
Last time Out
The Huskies set foot in Sunday’s game after defeating Villanova 3-0 at Morrone Stadium on Thursday. Junior Isabelle Lynch opened the scoring for the Huskies in the first half before redshirt junior Kess Elmore added a second goal for UConn in the second half. Lynch would score her second of the game later in the half to lock the triumph for the Huskies.
Match History
This Sunday’s match between the Huskies and the Red Storm will be the second meeting in this season. Earlier, they met on 11th March in Storrs. There UConn won by 1-0, all because of a goal from senior Yamilee Eveillard. UConn holds a 16-6-1 overall record against the Red Storm with a 6-3 record on the road. However, this season St. John’s bag an impressive 5-0 record. The Huskies look forward to their first road conference win of the season.

UConn will take on Seton Hall in the final regular-season road game of the season on 3 April, Saturday. Kickoff will begin at 11:00 AM at the Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, New Jersey.
