Biden’s first budget to focus on Health, Environment and Education.

President Biden’s first budget’s request to Congress is to recommend spending billions more on the Environmental Protection Agency, Head Start Programs and millions for civil rights including restructuring of police dept. and prosecution of hate crimes.

As he is continuing his battle against coronavirus, he planned to increase the budget of Centre for Disease’s Control (CDC), which will result in largest increase in 20 years.

Submitting a spending request on Friday for 2022 fiscal year, the administration office of management and budget requested to spend $769 for non-defense federal department, which is 16% hike compared to last years.

A meek increase of 1.7% is requested by The President for the Defense Department which will amount to $753 billion. Former President Trump prioritized the Defense Department more than Biden, as can we say looking at such shy increase.

Unlike Trump, Biden is focusing more on the education and environment and other domestic social programs.

In all Biden is inviting funds of $1.52 trillion dollar for discretionary spending, which is increase of 8.4%, comparing to last year.

Biden is requesting for $20-billion-dollar increase for high-poverty school and $1.2-billion-dollar growth for federal Head Start program which gives early education to low-income families.

An increase of $1.6 billion dollar for CDC is said to be largest increase in the past 2 decades, all thanks to the pandemic.

After signing six execution orders to tackle the gun violence, Biden has requested for $2.1 billion for the same purpose, which is an increase of $232-million-dollars.

Biden in order to launch Advance Research Project Agency for Health under National Institute of Health to speed-up research on cancer, diabetes and other diseases.

As proposed last week, Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Jobs include some historic spending on infrastructure, manufacturing, research and other areas.

Overall Biden has prioritized Health, Environment and Education sector, marking his priorities different than Trump. Ultimately the US House of Representatives and Senate will decide the final federal spending.
