Biden tweets his remorse at Prince Philip’s passing
Prince Phillip, the 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away today.
In a tweet on Friday, Biden expressed his sadness at the news, sending their hearts to the family while lauding Phillip’s decades of public service.
Former President Barack Obama too mourned the Monarch’s passing, expressing his amazement at His Royal Highness Prince Phillip’s service of the greater good.
The Prince was recently hospitalized and underwent a successful heart procedure, died on Friday, Buckingham Palace announced.
Prince Philip’s legacy will live on not only through his family, but in all the charitable endeavors he shaped. Jill and I are keeping the Queen and Prince Philip’s children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the people of the United Kingdom in our hearts during this time.
