The Megatrends author John Naisbitt dies at 92
John Naisbitt, the best-selling American author passed away at the age of 92 in his home at Lake Woerthersee on Thursday.
A futurist and the former assistant to the Commissioner of Education under President John F. Kennedy, his book ‘Megatrends: Ten New Directions Transforming Our Lives’ was on The New York Times Best Seller List for two years, mostly as No.1, being published in 57 countries and selling more than 14 million copies.
The book emphasis on understanding the present to understand the future, and terms like ‘high touch’ inspire a whole generation of futurists.
In a bold type, the book also states, “The political left and right are dead; all the action is being generated by a radical center.”
