John Hinch, the forming member of the classic Heavy Metal band Judas Priest, was confirmed dead on April 29th after admitting him in hospital due to conditions. He was 73 at the time.

Check out the Judas Priest performing their first ever track, Rocka Rolla:

“His style was strong, direct and unique,” long-time friend Halford told Loudwire. “I’ll be blasting Rocka Rolla today!”

Born in Staffordshire, England, John had played in various bands like The Pinch, The Generation, Bakerloo Blues Line etc. John had already played with Rob Halford bringing the two close for the ’73 that resulted in the release of the Priest’s bands first album Rocka Rolla. But soon Hinch had left the band due to some conflicts with his friends and then decided to pursue a career in musical management, working with Jameson Raid, Uli Jon Roth of Scorpions, Fashion, Steel, The Bureau, and Zeno. His spot behind the drums was later taken by Alan “Skip” Moore.
