Barry Diller accuses Apple of overcharging his apps
The IAC and Expedia Chairman, Diller, in an interview said that his companies along with some other have been ‘overcharged in a disgusting manner’ by Apple for having the apps on the ‘App Store’. The company in question came to its defence by saying that they do it for the benefit of the app developers.
The company charges it’s app developers between 15%-30% of commission based on the popularity of the app. According to Diller, these charges are irrational. “The idea that they actually justify it by saying, ‘We spend all this money protecting our little App Store,’ Well, it will be criminal.” he said.
