Maryland to experience severe weather, warnings issued

Severe thunderstorms and flash floods are heading towards Maryland on Thursday.

A warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Baltimore, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Prince Georges, Queen Anne’s, St. Marys, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester counties as well as Baltimore City until 8 p.m.

A flash flood warning was also announced for Maryland counties beginning on Thursday around 2 p.m through 8 a.m. on Friday.

Severe weather including heavy rains that will fall in short durations that could cause the overflow of water bodies, flash storms, and thunderstorms is expected in the region.
