Arizona Republic demands audit results of 2020 elections, moves to court

The Arizona Republic moves to court on demand of records from the state Senate and one of its contractors to shed light on the audit of 2020 election results, much of which has been kept from the public despite the importance of the ballot recount. It filed a special action in Maricopa County Superior Court on Wednesday.

Information on how the audit is being conducted, the businesses, money, and what officials are saying to each other is hidden from the general public. The Republic had earlier requested the information through the Arizona Public Records Law but was denied access.
