A police officer killed in Clayton County crash

A police officer from Clayton County died in a crash on Monday morning.

As per police, the accident occurred at Tara Boulevard at North Main Street but the circumstances are still under investigation.

Confirmed by Channel 2 Action that the officer died after he was taken to hospital.

The officer has not been identified yet. He was in a critical condition and unconscious when taken to hospital.

Videos showed the officer’s car with heavy front-end damage. It is quite unclear about the condition of the other driver.

The accident investigation is taken over by Georgia State Patrol.
