A priest throws acid on 7 bishop in Athens

A priest attacked metropolitan bishops at the Petraki Monastery, the headquarters of the Orthodox Church of Greece, with acid in Athens. All seven bishops suffered burns on their hands and faces and  were rushed to the Laiko hospital.

As per reports, bishops were discussing deposing the priest, the Police arrested him for the charge. The guard also suffered from injuries while trying to prevent them. A church court has been called to further take action.

The seven bishops are: Nikodimos of Kassandreia, Kallinikos of Arta, Andreas of Dryinoupoleos, Dionysios IV of Zakynthos, Kyrillos of Kifissia, Dimitrios of Goumenissa and Antonios of Glyfada.
