Advance flight booking hit highest since March 2020
Washington – The Transportation Security Administration informed that they screened 1.357 million U.S. passengers at airports on Friday. Since March 15, 2020, it is the highest number screened as air travel begins to resume from a drop due to pandemic.
U.S. airline passenger demand fell 60% in 2020 and 63% in January due to COVID-19 restrictions. It devastated the air travel demand. But with more numbers of Americans getting vaccinated, demand and advance bookings have started to rise in recent weeks. Over pre-COVID-19 level, numbers are still 38% down on Friday.
