Amazon’s gaming platform Luna to have 720p streaming option for better stability
In order to improve its stability on the Luna cloud gaming platform, Amazon is adding a new streaming platform that will cap resolution at 720p.
Internet connections may struggle to keep up with the high bandwidth demands of Luna which, for now, streams only at 1080p. These struggles might result in audio issues, lag and other such issues. You can pin the streaming limit at 720p by changing it from the setting panel, but this is possible only for users with Luna’s early access beta – a platform that has not yet released to the public.
The company in its statement said that “Starting today, we are enabling a new 720p option, allowing decrease bandwidth and data usage by streaming at lower resolution.” This can be really beneficial to users with a slow internet connection.
Luna is available for free but in order to have the access to streaming games, one need to have monthly subscriptions. Amazon’s Luna Plus Channel and a dedicated Ubisoft one, cost of which is $5.99 and $14.99, respectively.
