Andrew Yang calls press conference accusing satirical Daily News cartoon

New York City Mayoral candidate Andrew Yang called a press conference on Tuesday to complain about a satirical Daily News cartoon illustrating him as a tourist.

Yang is a mayoral candidate who didn’t vote in some local elections, absconded to upstate New York during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and he is the one who recently named the Times Square subway station his favorite out of all the underground New York City stops.

A former entrepreneur, Andrew Yang, stood for Democratic presidential contender in 2020.

However, he is no longer emerging as a leader in the pack in very recent polls of the New York City mayor’s race.

Most have shown him pacing behind Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

On Tuesday, he tried to turn that around by naming The News’ cartoon, which shows a smiling Yang coming from a Times Square subway exit, as racist.
