Biden heads to Philadelphia to celebrate Amtrak’s 50th anniversary and promote infrastructure plans

President Joe Biden plans to travel to Philadelphia this week to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation doing business as Amtrak and to promote his plans to boost the economy after the coronavirus outbreak. The democrat would be traveling 106 miles primarily to promote its sweeping $2 trillion dollars infrastructural plan.

Even though the country’s infrastructure is in urgent need of repair and improvement with it recently earning a C-score from the American Society of Civil Engineers, Biden also plans to benefit people of color, rural Americans, and others suppressed under detrimental impacts of aggressive modernization through this investment.

As he visits the railroad company, out of the trillion-dollar package $80 billion would also be spent on improving rail service throughout the country.

His visit to the Keystone State on Friday was part of the Getting America Back on Track Tour.
