Chicago struck by two mass shootings in a span of two hours

The Marquette Park neighbourhood was struck by a gun attack on Sunday. It is reported that two mass shootings took place that night in a span of two hours. 

The first attack happened at about 8:45 p.m. where six people were shot in the 2000 block of East 71st Street in South Shore. One was injured fatally.

Another attack happened at around 10:55 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Artesian Avenue. Out of the 11 who were attacked, only one woman was struck fatally. Details about the woman are still undisclosed.

It is still unknown whether the mass shootings have a connection or not.
