Disneyland to reopen on Friday after its longest closure ever
The gates to the “Happiest Place on Earth” to open again after 412 days, which is the longest closure for Disneyland in its 65-year history.
Though the things won’t be as normal as pre-pandemic as the opening capacity is 25%. In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, safety measures such as no character hugs will be in place. Friday will be the first in more than a year that guests can board rides and attractions – the new Avengers campus is set to open in June.
This comes after the rate of cases in California, the park’s home state, is less than a third of the U.S. average of 116 cases. As of Wednesday, it recorded 33 cases out of 100,000 people.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is all set to vaccinate 100 million Americans fully by the end of this weekend.
