Elon Musk all set to host Saturday Night Live; Here’s all you need to know about it
Elon Musk will host the Saturday Night Live on May 8th.
On May 8 , the billionaire and tech giant Elon Musk will host the Saturday Night Live (SNL), becoming one of the few business personalities to be on the seat.
SpaceX founder confirmed that he will be hosting SNL on May 8 which followed by another speaking, “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is.”
Since 1975, the show has done 46 seasons and the top sketch-comedy show in the hemisphere, has had its share of hosts who walked into the Hall of Shame and producer Lorne Michaels has carefully hid them from the reaches of internet. The show agenda goes on with each episode being hosted by a celebrity guest. They begin with a monologue and then performs in their skit along with other cast. Artists including musicians also join in for guest appearances. The musical guest for the May 8th show will be Miley Cyrus.
To the question” Why Elon Musk?”, The Verge answers, “Oh, come on. Seriously! Fine. He’s the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, the founder of The Boring Company and Neuralink, a certified member of the PayPal Mafia, and a well-known internet troll.”
Over the last couple of weeks, Musk has been dropping cryptic messages about his performance with tweets such as “The Dogefather” and “Woke James Bond”.
On May 2, Elon asked in Twitter for skit ideas. As a follow up he also tweeted: “Irony Man – defeats villains using the power of irony” and “Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank”. Fans have anticipated his performance from the breadcrumbs he has placed down and initiated some sort of chain involving the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. Since then the crypto’s value has soared. But to mention, Musk is a prominent supporter of Dogecoin.
“I’m a wild card, no telling what I might do,” said Musk in the promotional video.
