Fire breaks out at Universal Studio Hollywood theme park lot
Clouds of smoke could be seen coming out of the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park lot, when a fire erupted on early Wednesday.
The fire broke out at a parking garage on the upper lot located up the hill from Lankershim Boulevard close to the 101 Freeway, reported NBC Los Angeles.
Fire could be seen flaring out of the upper lot near Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and a parking structure.
However, it was reported that the fire was quickly extinguished after midnight and no injuries were reported.
Ironically, the incident took place on the anniversary of the tragic 2008 fire that burnt down majority of the historic film studio. However, the recent incident was not as serious.
On June 1, 2008, Universal Studios Hollywood, both the theme park and the back lot were engulfed by a fire that burnt to ashes many structures and master recordings of many films at the studio.
