Fyre Fest tweet with poor organization to be put up for auction at NFT market.
With NFT’s market running hot now and Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey’s, first tweet being sold for $2.9million on March 22nd, Trevor DeHaas has decided to enter the NFT market to auction his 2017 tweet of the dinner he received at Fyre Fest. DeHaas is planning to raise an amount of $80,000 which will be directed to pay his medical bills.

DeHaas in his email to verge said that he would not like to depend on GoFundMe, a crowdfunding platform, for his medical expenses. The 31-year old photographer would like the auction winner to know that the money would be spend for a good cause and he feels guilty for someone to pay him for copyrighting the NFT, all for his medical expenses.
It was shown by the organization that the music festival is billed by Fyre Fest as an exclusive and luxurious event which will have transportation through jet-ski and yacht, top-notch catering and big-name performers. Famous personalities like Kendall Jenner was paid $250,000 to promote the event. The entry for guest was priced at $12,000.
But, social media post showed something else. Attendees like DeHaas shared pictures online which showed rather opposite of what was promoted. The poor organization invited lawsuits, which landed Billy McFarland, Fyre Fest organizer, into six-year imprisonment.
DeHaas has clarified that Ja Rule, co-founder of Fyre Fest, is in no way connected to this auction. He did the clarification on Twitter as the medium, flipkick.io, through which he’ll be making partners with Ja Rule.
DeHaas, as per his Twitter account, is currently in need of kidney transplant as his Twitter bio says, “In need of a kidney donor.”
